Service providers committing to safeguarding guide for SACCOs: In conjunction with the government, the consortium, commuters and the SACCOs will co-create and/or strengthen guidelines aimed at safeguarding the commuters.
Enhanced nutrition knowledge in the youth organizations that seek to reach, access and serve young people, in their diversity
Sensitization of direct service providers (drivers, touts) on ending sexual harassment in public transport.

Project Summary
In line with GEF Action indicators of Gender Based Violence, Economic Justice and Rights and Bodily Autonomy/Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Kenya has made several commitments implementation still lag. Kenya is a signatory to SDGs where target 5.2 seeks to eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation and target 8.8 that seeks to protect labor rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers. The commitments have also been made through the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), UN Women and the International Conference on Population and Development among others
