The Annual National Youth Climate Innovation Summit , first held in August 2025, provides a powerful platform to spotlight the role of young people as drivers of climate action and sustainability. The summit celebrates young changemakers, amplify their voices, and explores youth-led solutions to the climate and environmental challenges. The Summit also aims at mobilizing youth and Communities to advocate for Sustainable Waste Management Practices in Kenya.

Strategic objectives for the Annual Youth Climate Action Innovation Summit, focuses on four core pillars: Employment, Advocacy, Knowledge Exchange, and Exhibition. These objectives are designed to move from discussion to tangible, youth-led impact namely
1. Employment and Economic Empowerment
Objective: Facilitate the creation of green and digital jobs by connecting 500+ young innovators directly with private sector partners and investors.
Action: OAY Annual Top 30 Under 30 Youth Innovations for Employment Creation Award Pitch Competition that provides multi-month mentorship and incubation support to the most scalable youth-led climate action solutions.
Outcome: Transition at least 7 youth startups from ideation to investment-ready status within a year of the summit.
2. Strategic Advocacy and Governance
Objective: Institutionalize youth representation by ensuring a "seat at the table" in national and international climate policy-making.
Action: Draft Annual Youth Climate Action Declaration through high-level plenary sessions to be formally submitted to government ministries and upcoming international conferences and forums and COP processes.
Outcome: Influence specific policy updates on circular economy and climate adaptation at the global, national and county levels.
Objective: Equip participants with future-ready skills in digital transformation, climate science, and sustainable project management.
Action: Conduct interactive workshops and "Idea Labs" led by KeiLab, experts and peer mentors focused on leveraging AI, proven concepts, and IoT and existing resources for climate resilience.
Outcome: Increase the technical literacy of 60% of participants regarding climate-smart agriculture, circular economy, renewable energy systems.
