Sikiliza Sauti Yetu: Dunia Inaita!

#NairoGreen Youth Movement
Through the “Sikiliza Sauti Yetu: Dunia Inaita!” project, OAY Kenya has supported the
establishment and strengthening of youth forums and platforms to drive local climate
change and environmental issues at community levels, the #NairoGreen Youth Movement.
#NairoGreen Youth Movement is a community mobilization and outreach strategy. The
campaign aims at mobilizing and engaging communities, including young people and
children, to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices in Nairobi. The action plan targets over 7,000 beneficiaries (over 3,000 already reached) and work with 30 CBOs to raise community awareness on environmental and climate change issues.
In the effort to increase the base of support for waste management and related environmental and public health issues, both at the county and National levels, OAY Kenya and its allies have built a stronger and more effective advocacy movement on the ground. This involves building partnerships and coalitions with over 30 youth and women CSOs/CBOs, community groups, student clubs, individuals, and stakeholders to increase reach and impact through the #NairoGreen Youth Movement.
